John's passion for luthiery is driven by his talent, creativity, enthusiasm, and his constant learning and development of instruments. It is his goal to create instruments with the richest tone, balance and responsiveness while maintaining the ease of playability and pleasing aesthetics.

Each instrument is designed around its string length and sonority. Their tone is shaped by wood selection, arching, and thicknessing (including bracing). Each piece is refined to bring out its best properties and work together as a whole to create the finest instrument possible that fits the players hands and enhances their sound.
